It might just be me being dumb but when i die to missiles they are always fired backwards. I think this slightly ruins it for me but I wont complain..

witch drive fuel injectors and ECM will save you hehehheheheh

When I am chaseing a pirate fireing at his aft he launches missiles at me..
without ecm or fuel injectors thay can hurt..

Well, what do you expect him to do? Stand still until you have slaughtered him?

Of course he'll use everything he's got in order to defend himself. And a missile is a nice defense, especially against someone who has no ECM.

Well to be frank, what else would you expect. I guess if you don't have injectors, or an ECM it's not a good idea to have a pop at a pirate.

Get yourself equiped and you'll be ok. Remember continued use of the ECM can also take out hardened missiles.

I have actually sped forward using fuel injectors and hit my own missile.
Don't think it did me any damage, but it killed the missile.

There is also an inertia/momentum/relativespeed factor in surviving missiles,
usually a fully juiced vanilla cobraMkIII can survive a missile in the rear, while dieing from a frontal hit.
So always try to run away if lacking an ECM, don't forget to dodge though!
