Amazing! The only downside is using that horrible yellow version of the logo. The actual game looks very much like a mod on TNK, so lucky he got it before DB stamped all over that!

Hi everyone !!! I'm new to this board, i'll introduce myself later, but for now i would like to answer about the "mod on TNK".
It's actually a graphic mod of TNK i did a long time ago (well, not so long...)
You can download that modification and a couple of others for the GL version, and some sounds for TNK too.

After the fall of TNK and other Elite attempts, i gave up the elite thing for a couple of years (work, daughter, life ... you know the story

)

Yesterday, i was looking at the wiki list of opensource games and finally discover oolite.
I'm sooooooo happy !
It's nice to find a version/remake of elite that is still alive, the deadly braben has not killed it (yet!)

that's all for now...
I'll be back !
maybe with some 3D models (i'm a CGI guy), who knows...

ps: Great work with the "arcade" version of elite dude !

Welcome Mr J, great to have you on board.

The screenshots look to me very much like Xelite.

Anyway, you'll love playing Oolite, it's Elite with bells, whistles, brass knobs, and a mink bikini.

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome, it's nice to find a such pleasant forum about a kind of game we all love

I'm really pleased with oolite, it's like having 10years again !!!
I have looked at Xelite (wich has been brabenized too), and yeah they used my TNK replacement scanner in the game. That's ok, but i just discover that yesterday

Anyway, here's the link to my old TNK and EliteGL page, with the scanner, sounds and other enhancements for the game(s).

Of course nobody cares, because TNK and EliteGl are not available anymore

For now, i'm collecting informations about model making for oolite. with the idea of making a few. i'll let you know later...
