Visiting the Gas giant in Assassins (not really a spoiler).

Post by Wiggy »

Just started Assassins and loving it.
I particularly love the extra planets that have been added to the systems, particularly the gas giant Cerberus.

I went to visit it, which took me about 45 minutes of continuous jumping!

To quote Douglas Adams, Space is really quite big.
You came in that? You're braver than I thought!

:) Cheers. Assassins adds a lot of stuff to G7 and some is just background. Some is important. I really wanted to make the Gas Giants unrealistic and have them a massive object in the sky dominating the normal planet in orbit. But this caused big problems with rendering if the main planet crossed them, so I made em realistic. Really Big but really far away. Extra Moons and planets you might need to go to are at a more sensible distance than 45 light minutes! The Gas Giants are at a proper distance, but the missions don't force you to go there, although you can explore the outer reaches if you like....
