Question about the linux development

So is anything going on here still? It seems from the projects home page and on these boards that dev has stopped.
I only ask because I have a working knowledge of C and I've recently been playing with SDL. I never really got on with OO but from what I've been reading of ObjC it's messaging system is similar to smalltalk.. which I used to like on account of it being similar to Arexx (Amiga). I'm only really a hobbyist and I'm about 5 years rusty but I've been playing about and it seems I still remember it and I have lots of documentation etc.
1.66 seems the latest dev version on linux, perhaps I could help with the refactoring or scripting tasks.
Anyway.. just thought I'd put the feelers out.
