hi,
i'm actually downloading OXP's to pimp my Oolite :D from the oolite wiki.
There are a some links that would not work.
For example http://oosat.alioth.net/files/Sungs_det ... tures1.zip

Can i get this anywhere?

You can download it from these two links:-
http://www.box.net/public/tgy6x8ky7d
http://www.box.net/public/urmbtfugcg

I think you need both but I'm not entirely sure (when I downloaded it it was in one piece).

OK, I've amended the Wiki to take out the links to Oosat2 as they are no longer available from there. Without wanting to get into past history, as Sung wished to withdraw them from general circulation I have not put in any link to these files elsewhere, if somebody else wants to edits the Wiki to do this then fill your boots.

To set the record straight, Sung’s texture packs are available from his web site (found in his signature) and are distruted under the GPL.

Ah, OK, my mind (let alone my eyes) glazed over very shortly after that argument started so I lost track with what was what. I did go to correct the link but I see that you have done it. 8)

No, Sung’s doing something wrong. I remember having to piece the bits of the texture pack together manually, but I don’t recall exactly how.

The big question is, does it matter?

I seem to remember that you insert them manually (oooo...young man...!)..

i.e. you need to right click on the Oolite application and open 'Show package contents'

If you expand the list of contents, look for 'Resources', and then open that folder... you will see 'textures'... ....taa daaaaaa....!

Best to 'duplicate' and save the original texture folder somewhere safe, in case of catastrof**k, then paste Sung's textures into the original folder, replacing any old files with his ones.

And that should be it... ...I hope... :? ...so, if you can be bothered... am I bothered...?

The two archives can be merged into an OXP, which is less destructive.

The game looks now incredible. Does anybody has changed the Lightsystem, such engine glow or the Laser? :D

Yes, in this newest version 1.68, the "glow" effects have been updated.
