Oolite Bulletins

Hi everyone, I need help with the above. I installed it months ago and I think I did the first mission but after that I installed other missioon Oxp's and never completed this one. My F5 screen still shows "consider helping the military". Any ideas on how I can get back on track? Can I start again?

You can reset the oxp by editing you save file.

Make a backup (in case this buggers it up!!). Then:-

Open the file with notepad or other editer.

Do a search for Military. You should see your save file has somthing like this in it:-

<key>mission_military_fiasco</key>
<string>some text here</string>
<key>mission_military_fiasco_killcount</key>
<string>a number here</string>

Delete all of this from the <key> to the </string> after the _killcount. Now save.

When you fire up this commander, Military should start from the begining. I think you chose the "Not now" option. This time chose to help!

Hi Little Bear, I can always rely on you. Do you mean delete everything after the line with Kill count in it i.e <string>6</string>, or everything that is shown below..
This is what I found in my save file

<key>mission_military_fiasco</key>
<string>MIL_DELAY</string>
<key>mission_military_fiasco_killcount</key>
<string>6</string>

Thats it! The code you posted (and only this code) should be deleted.

It would be very helpful if this "fix" with some other examples could be Wiki'd. I had to scrap a hOoge amount of kills and start all over because of Nova and Deposed conflict, and YT messed around with the save file!!
