Visitors from the Past OR The Generations' Conflict

Idea for an OXP involving some stuff that's already there. Whoever would like to develop a plot out of it and go for it: You're welcome!
For hundreds of years they have been forgotten, just rumours and whispers in shady bars. Only a handful of pilots claim to have seen one, far out in interstellar space, telling tales about giant structures, crunching their way even through the mightiest Thargoid ships... Nobody believed them.
But they are real! And now they are there! The first one of the fleet of gigantic Generation Ships is nearing its final destination, the planet Ceisce in Galaxy 6, ready to colonize it. Unfortunately--and contrary to the plans and calculations made hundreds of years ago--the planet is not uninhabited. And its inhabitants, Fierce Red Rodents, are not looking forward to sharing their homeworld with tens of thousands of uninvited guests...
(Some more ideas on implementing:
- when first landing on Ceisce and accepting the mission a generation ship is added far, far away, let's say where the pulsar is in Tianve, moving slowly toward the planet
- every time the player returns to Ceisce in the course of his missions the generation ship is added closer to the planet, creating the illusion of constant movement
- in the course of the mission the Ceiscens try to communicate with the generation ship--in vain; they try to appeal to GalGop; they try to form a coalition with their neighbours against this threat out of the past--after all every planet could be the next victim
- GalCop or old Earth intervene on one of the sides
- in the end there could be a showdown with different possible outcomes:
1: the Ceiscens manage to acquire a weapon that is able to destroy the generation ship--their world is saved
2: the ship lands on the planet and the Ceiscens have to be evacuated, planetinfo changes to "Human Colonials, first successfull arrival of a generation ship, unfortunately the indigenous ..."
3: a peaceful coexistence of both races, again with changes in planetinfo)
