Correction the main console appears half way up the screen and the information i.e speed temp missles etc remains in the lower part of the screen, weird?

Hi Cos,

Start WordPad, then pick File/Open, change file types to 'All Documents' then open hud.plist in the Oolite/AddOns/FighterHUD.oxp/Config folder. locate the line <string>hud.png</string>, eight lines below this contains the line you need to change (try a much bigger negative value).

Cheers CaptKev, changed value to -165 and it works! Excellent Oxp, really adds a lot to the feel of the game. Did somebody mention a "dot" for the middle of the cross hairs to aid with targetting?

Thanks

Cos :D :D :D

Thanks Cos, I've got a new version of the HUD with a small cross, that I'll upload to Oosat2 shortly.

I had to use -160, as -165 was a bit too low.
Thanks for the OXP

@CM, Glad you got it working okay, I just don't understand why it does that on some systems!

If it helps, I've got the v1.65 on Windows XP, and am running it with a NVIDIA GeForce 4440GB 64M at 1280x800.

For more info, ask what you need or check the hardware at the
HP site

I'm running in 1280 x 1024, maybe the widescreen display is confusing Oolite? I might just have to include a widescreen version in the next release.

The HUD does appear slightly narrower than the rest of the screen, and when I run Oolite on fullscreen mode the image gets deformed. So, that's why!...

Still, that doesn't explain the height (-165, -160) difference since in both cases it's 1280...

Fighter HUD Mk II can now be downloaded from my signature, copy the appropriate ship from the Images/ships folder to the Images folder with the name wireframe.png

Only the standard ships plus the Stingray have been created, if you fly a custom ship why not create your own image, see below:

128 x 128 pixel with blue (RGB = 4E4D7E) as the background:

If you do create a custom wireframe send it to me and I'll include it in the OXP! :D

thanks, I had the same problem earlier today (HUD overlay in the middle of the screen). I'm looking to fixing it.
