Hi tadster, have you tried this:

Start WordPad, then pick File/Open, change file types to 'All Documents' then open hud.plist in the Oolite/AddOns/Fighter HUD Mk II.oxp/Config folder. locate the line <string>hud.png</string>, eight lines below this contains the line you need to change (try -165).

Hope this helps.

Hey CaptKev, not that I'm trying to be clever but did you know that you misspelt Fighter in your signature?

hi Capt,

I think Fighter Hud Mk II is even more sweet. I'm still having a bit of trouble getting it all to line up. I'm running Ubuntu linux with nvidia drivers, Oolite 1.65. I play Oolite windowed at 1280x1024.

I can tweak the hud overlay to get it perfectly flush with the bottom of the window, but then it doesn't line up with the underlay (all the status bars, etc.). I don't know how much work it would be configuring all the underlay to raise them a bit.

Why is there a hud1024x768.plist file in the oxp? What difference is that with hud.plist? (I'm lazy and won't want to diff it) :)

Your HUDs are so awesome. I can't wait til I get them working perfectly for me. Just my opinion, but you might want to add a readme to describe to others how to change the location of the HUD. It might be faster for them to read that than to go to the forum and start asking questions. Specifically, tell them how to get their ship in the hud (copying their ship to wireframe.png).

Anyway, thanks again for the amazing HUDs!!

Hi tadster, glad you like the HUD :D, the hud1280x1024.plist positions the HUD (including the status bars etc.) 15 pixels lower than the 1024x768 version.

Just rename hud1280x1024.plist to hud.plist if you want to give that one a try.

Good point about the readme, I'll include one in the next update.

EDIT: I've just noticed that the hud1024x768.plist in the Fighter HUD Mk. 2 hasn't been changed from Mk. 1 (status bars are in the old positions), will update this shortly! - NOW FIXED!

Is anybody experiencing a problem with the wireframe ship NOT being positioned properly?

It is working, and it is awesome! I got your new version and just did a bit of y tweaking. Everything looks great (using python wireframe just fine).

Thanks!!

This HUD makes me feel so much tougher in my python. I'm just now saving for a Stingray--it's gonna look good with that too, of course!
