Python Class Cruiser docking

I recently bought a Python Class Cruiser, which is a great ship, but I found it impossible to dock.
I always blew up every time I tried to dock with a space station.
Behemoths and Hermits were ok, though.

Eventually, I figured it out: rotate the ship to keep the slot axis vertical, rather than horizontal!

Useful safety tip there!

PS. Been trying out quite a few different ships of late, but have to say I'm not too keen on the ones with big 'bonnets' sticking out the front, or engine plumes in the centre of the rear view.

@Wiggy - That might be something to stick in the Wiki! A 'Commander Wiggy's essential guide to the Ships of Oolite' article, covering things like odd docking configurations (i.e. 'sideways', at certain angles, etc.), cockpit view +ves and -ves and whatever gets your goat (soup).

"What gets my goat soup is the re-cycling unit. Especially during lunch."

Docking computer would be a straightforward solution - My game time is limited and I couldn't live without this shortcut.

If in doubt line up on the slot & hit the Witch-drive injectors! 8)

Hope you reach the back before you finish exploding? It does work, but I've lost cargo doing that...
