Trumble Question

I know there have been posts before on this but i have a different question along with the more common one...

Firstly - what benefits are there too having them if any? It is amusing to have the little animal float around the screen chirping but its obviously bad when it eats your cargo!

Secondly - i have heat shields fitted and im close enough to a star for a fuel scoop but it doesnt seem to have killed the trumble. -What am i doing wrong?

(If your wondering how i can afford fuel scoops, heat shields and could get the trumble mission its because i sold my ship for a cheaper one with less cargo space - one from an oxp - a drake, a nice little ship that will help me escape pirates courtesy of fuel injection!)

You have to let the cabin temp. build up enough to kill the little pests. Their cheeping gets more desperate when they start to feel uncomfortable. Apart from watching them they don't really have any benefits.

The trumble is cute, that's the benifit. You buy it because it is cute.
The seller doesn't tell you it eats your cargo and reproduces like mad after awhile. It's a reference to the trouble with tribbles (IIRC) episode of the original Star Trek series.

To get rid of it: burn it harder, or use your escapepod if it really doesn't help....

"Beam 'em over to the Thargoids, where they'll be no Trumble at all!"
(paraphrased quote from "The Trouble with Tribbles" episode)

:D Cook on max heat for as long as you dare - it should have a very warm passing.
