Can docking slot be significantly smaller? I am thinking on making Anaconda actually launching Worms..

You can make your own docking slots and make them smaller as well. Just make sure that the docking slot is big enough for the craft that's supposed to be entering through it.
You may need to increase the size of the Anaconda. I've got a project that I never finished where I made the Anaconda a bit bigger so that it could launch small fighters... But the texture really sucked (I'm not good at them) so I ditched the project...

Judebert tried to get it to work, but I don't think he came up with any solution he liked enough to deem usable.

I don't think launching actually requires a docking port.
I noticed that a ship launched from a 'carrier' can temporarily fly through the mothership (sometimes).
Docking was however a bit tricky, requiring me to crash into the ship at a strange angle or die.
-If we ever get detachable equipment subentities, one could stick fighteres to the outside as equipment. (Like Team Zorg)
-the easiest (and crudest) way yet might be for the anacondaAI to spawn one or two worms, untill the combat-odds are equal. (numerical, not combat strength)

Smaller docking ports? - Oh, yes!
( Shameless plug alert )
See: NavyStarships.oxp ( B.inc )
Condor.oxp ( B.inc ) - oops broken, new release out soon.
Need MUCH smaller? Orb.oxp out soon ( honest! )
The OrbBase ship has two very small docks ( front & back ) Big enough for an Orb ship but too small for you! ( unless you are flying something realy tiny )
