Is imperial starship technology way superior to Galcop? Compare Sieldar Shipyards "fake" Imperial Courier to "real" one seen in Spyhunter mission with its enormous power generator..

Good question.

In Character Answer: Yes, Imperial Naval technology is superior to GalCop technology. Shield technology for Imperial or Federal vessels is a little different to GalCop technology and is powered directly from the vessel's power grid which is, in turn, powered by the ship's engines. Given that Imperial Navy Couriers have a high-grade Naval Hyperdrive installed, that provides a fair bit of power to the shields which is boosted by other items like shield boosters and the like. The Seldar variant has been completely stripped of any Imperial tech and replaced with a jury-rigged GalCop-compatible system which has less power available to the energy banks.

OOC answer: Not intentionally, but the Courier in Spyhunter needs to be updated. When I eventually get round to finishing the specs for the V2 Courier the Spyhunter OXP will also be updated with a new model and specification.

ATM those OXPs conflict due to naming collision..
How will spy IC be updated - what besides the model?

Err, other than the model itself and the performance of it in-game, not much. I could tweak a few things, I suppose...

However, it will be lavender scented.

Ah, the smell of lavender in deep space! :)
