Just finished "Status Quo" and I have to say I was very very impressed. An excellent piece of work which is truly a tribute to everything and everyone that is Elite. Keep it up, write more.

Might be worth ordering before December, cafepress does get a bit busy towards Christmas.

That said, the book is much cheaper than last year on account of the pound:dollar exchange rate! 8)

Cheers,

Drew,

Just finished my hardcopy of Status Quo and have started Mutabilis. The hard-copies are worth every dollar! Fun stuff; Thank-you.
As for the user name...

It is what happens when Thargoids become identity thieves and having ravaged an account to fund their war-efforts, leave your empty coffers and account profiles with re-engineered and totally Thargodized (a new verb?) name.

Other formats for books

Post by kcallis »

I do a lot of my reading on the go, so I have a crapload of e-books on my phone (HTC VX6800) with 16G of MMC. I know that the books are in PDF format, but is there anyway to do other formats... I am thinking either MS Reader or even Palmdoc format (pdb).
Just a passing thought!

There are a few PDB file makers out there - iSiloX is one. There are java applets and symbian apps that will allow the reading of plain text or similar files too, so there should be some...

BookReader (javascript) or QReader (symbian) are the ones I usually use.

Readers

Normally,I would lean towards an open converter, but considering that I read on a WM 6, MS Readers seems to allow for decent viewing on that device...

If I hadn't drawn a pragmatic line under Lazarus - that's where it was headed - still it got to circa 20K words - 1/4 to 1/5th of an acceptable novel length.

I too am looking forward to another biggy from a rather quiet Drew, his recent short stories have been excellent.

Sorry folks! Am still about - but v busy with RL at the moment. Hopefully thing will quieten down towards the end of October (so says the plan).

Still lurking occasionalyl.

Probably won't get back to fan-fic until that point - apologies for delay on 'Family'.

Glad you enjoyed the novels Rustybolts! As for a third - hmm... unlikely at present I'm afraid, but do check out my short stories - see my sig.

Cheers,

Drew.
