Equipment in 1.65

The announcement for version 1.65 mentioned new equipment being availible. Is there any, and if so, what? I havn't seen any, even when I traded in my ship for a bog standard MkIII.
The only new equipment I noticed about are the
-heatshielding
-extra targetting computer memorycore.
Giles is noodling about new weapons though.
(And I am working on several missile types.)
