Uh...1.65...?

I downloaded 1.65, slavering with the anticipation of new goodies to buy and the prospect of extracting something useful from scooped escape pods and...

The application appears to be the 1.62 app, right down to the byte count. What gives?

Can I ask from which link?, for which OS? It'd help.

Yeah, I got the same problem from your homepage Giles. I figured it was me, then downloaded from a different location and Bob's your mother's brother.

That's odd. It's definitely pointing at the right file - perhaps some sort of caching problem occurred.

It can't have been a breaker though. This thread would have been a lot longer a lot earlier

Perhaps this links to this thread in Bug Reports where I had ships blowing up by themselves in v.165? :?

You know? Come to think of it, when I first tried to download 1.65, I think I clikced on the second link down (http://homepage.mac.com/aegidian/downlo ... te1.65.dmg). But this just seemed to get me just another copy of 1.64.

So then I tried the top link (http://www.digitalnervouswreck.com/oolite/oolite.dmg) and that got me 1.65.

I guess I kind of forgot about it, thinking I had made a mistake the first time, as is usually the case when something goes wrong on my computer.

Are we sure that second link works right? Why are there multiple links anyway? I am pretty ignorant about this stuff.

Aha, yes the second link was pointing to an out-of-date file, thanks for finding this!

My Mac is currently broken, so I tried to download Oolite (v1.65) for my Windows PC, however I encountered the same problem.

I finally got round to installing 1.65 last night. Some good extras in there, there is now a very good reason for not wasting any escape pods; the annoying popping up texts are much less frequent as well. I have a couple of questions though. Firstly how do we access the external views?

Also I was looking out for the extra equipment, but I could not find anything on sale. I only got to a tech level 13 system, do I need to find a higher rated system to find the extras?

Also had a problem or two with irate python owners turning around, bearing down on me and then ramming my ass....
