RELEASE: Nuit MkII

After looking at the mysterious armada thread i felt the original station was looking a bit etch-a-sketch, so here's an update
https://app.box.com/s/gvs4zjexvjgwxowd01tjjrxxddvo9jp1
has a simple populator script, you can change the tech level/govt in it to suit.
cheers
KW

Super! Downloading now!
Got it! I was just now reminiscing with Cody/EV about all the super stuff you have done over the years!
Did you notice all the new stuff squeezed into Nuit v.2.4? - the ability to dock at the struts, the occasional liners docked at the struts, etc.?

Not got it yet but you've set pretty high standards before so I'm excited

We were talking about you too! He agrees with you about the psuedo-Superhub idea for HIMSN missions.

The new arms look to be more of a challenge for docking liners.
I suppose that either the spikes retract or that a forcefield (like that of Buoy Repair) could fill the gap.

they're supposed to be scissoring/folding arms that hold a big ship in position whilst docked.

I'm a 40K fan; I'm used to things being complex! In all seriousness, thanks for the extensive details from both the technical and lore standpoints.
A pleasure!
Now. Here's one for
you. I'm curious. Looking at Killer Wolf's rejig of his Nuit (about to be adumbrated by Phkb - external docking and occasional docked liners added) - what else do
you think might be added to enhance the player experience?
The original
wiki page tries to recreate KW's original sales brochure.
Again, as a player, what would you love to see added to the docked experience at this station?

I feel like if I gave an answer it might be too ambitious to be reasonable or fall outside of what the game's JavaScript extensions can do. Just looking at the shape of the space station I was reminded of the observation deck on the Space Needle in Seattle and then looking into open source software that can help you explore the Universe like
Celestia (oh look, it even has the same TLD). I wonder how possible it would be to give some sort of panoramic view on the inside.

Do you mean setting the background images on the screens to be a view of the planet in space (easy if static), or you expect to see actual movement with other ships docking and leaving etc. (nah), or do you mean a panoramic view of the station interior, or... what the heck
do you mean?
