I am sorry but why did the giant snake not try to eat him, or at the very least bite him or constrict him, as he swam next to it in his white business shirt and street shorts. Could a scientific expedition with 15 scientists on board not have at least a single wet suit among them nor afford to buy one? The small breather thing he was using looks more like something one might find in a toilet tank. Do not get me wrong. This is quite possibly true footage. Unfortunately given the A.I. produced videos my old eyes have seen of people scrubbing barnacles off of whales while standing and walking on the whale's backs gives me pause.

Snakes generally have a slow metabolism. Hungry and aggressive or sated and placid.

Wet suits are primarily for cold water right?

It's in a river I think, not a deep lake, thus the lighting.

It's certainly harder to be sure these days but the claim itself is relatively modest: just a few per cent larger and also a type of green anaconda.

EDIT: That last part's not quite true but there have been longer (if not heavier) reticulated pythons recorded before.

Not new though is it, despite the genus name.

This is newer (and cool) but, well, nevermind.
