Is it too soon for Trump/MAGA-themed content in Oolite? Fascism OXP, Descent Into Chaos Klown Show OXP, or just a graphics update for Dictators OXP?

If Jody Vance isn't the world's most parodiable person, Id like to know who is.

It is bad enough that Mr. Orange and his Minions have to intrude daily into our American lives. Please do not give them a presence in our escapism as well. Although some well done parody or sardonic wit or blatant sarcasm would not cause that great a harm. Do avoid any Oompa-Loompa references though as they have already been done to death.

Can't say I like him but I don't think he's a fascist (there was a real ideology in fascism, Trump shows little signs of following it).

Did you follow Spara's Troomp oxp thread?

And there will be some of our community who have more positive views of him (I understand the same to be true for Comrade Putin, too).

So I'd drop it, personally!

At least the Americans can get hobble him in the mid-term elections, if they so choose. Those in real Dictatorships are stuck with what they have.

Might be fun to have that car elon musk sent into space flying through the Ooniverse as a rare encounter, wouldn't mind sending a couple of missiles chasing after that :D

Nothing surprises me about American voters anymore. Sometimes I think they have not been listening / watching him as he keeps repeating the same nonsense. I could live with that thought rather than that they watch and then approve.

"Too soon" to wish you a Happy Easter?

Hoping that all is as well as possible at your end of existence.

Trump is fond of authoritarian leaders and wishes he could be one too. I'm happy to see leaders in Europe, Canada, and Mexico stand up to his bullying.

And the current understanding is that standing up to him works (unlike what has happened with Panama and its canal). Two very nasty articles in today's The Economist magazine (centre-right politically) - one on what would happen if Trump carries on his present course and the Dollar loses its position as the world's reserve currency. And the other on the implications of what has happened with Abrego Garcia.

Fascists and Communists are examples of authoritarianism. But not every left-wing authoritarian is a communist. Nor is every right-wing authoritarian a fascist.
