Greetings, commanders. <o

For players who have played any of the original versions of Elite from 1984 to 2003,
including BBC (cassette and/or disc), ELK, C64, Spectrum, CPC, Apple, Master, MSX, Tatung Einstein, PC Elite, Atari ST, Amiga, Elite Plus, ArcElite, NES, Elite-A, Elite - The New Kind, etc.,
up to before Oolite and its OXPs,
no matter in how limited a fashion (I gave up on Elite Plus in 1991 when I couldn't figure out how to dock),
for those of us who are parents and grandparents...

(A) Please state which version(s) of Elite you play(ed).

(B) How old were you:
(B1) when your first-born was born, and
(B2) when your first-born's first-born was born?

Private Messages accepted.

["How could this information possibly be of any relevance to the Elite backstory?" ... ]

Thank you in advance for your kind and complete cooperation in this regard.

Sincerely and faithfully
user

Thanks, Cholmondely, for the reply, nonetheless. I appreciate your interest.

Full disclosure, I share your stated state of existence; hence my request for the information from other commanders, in the hopes of statistically deriving an applicable average.

Red Herring!

I'd be more interested in the extent to which the younger generations have themselves developed an affinity for Oolite, and where not, why not!

I recall Norby confessing to attempts to indoctrinate his progeny, and I think that one or two others might have made similar statements.

I would love to indoctrinate ANYONE into the wonders of E/Oolite -- and progeny would have been the first on my list, of course, if I had any -- but, alas, everyone else I have encountered so far outside of this forum are too easily distracted by the frivolities of this world. Ours is a lonely, sacred task.
