A Question of Fuel...

How would you/s explain your ship's propulsion through space when no fuel is actually being used up and Torus Drive? All without Witch-Space Fuel Injection Drive.
I understand it wouldn't take much in the weightless environment of space to move around. But I still think something needs to be THERE. Maybe it's magnetism or manipulation of the solar winds.

You might find the 2009 and the 2020/1 threads on the wiki’s “Handwavium” page provide a satisfactory answer. The “Realism” and “Newtonian Modelling” wiki pages might also be worth a peek too.
I had similar issues and ended up settling for the “Stranger’s World” suite of oxps. SW’s Hard Way oxp stops this “something for nothing “nonsense.

Thanks, I quite like the idea of my ship normally running on Querium fumes

I conjecture that quirium is the first-discovered hyper-dimensional element; quirium is to hydrogen what tesseracts are to cubes. That it has an extra spatial dimension is the explanation for its extraordinary energy density.
