Good grief, I've got a headache already!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Whew! We are still planning the 20th anniversary and have just reached the question of location. And you are so much ahead of us...

Alas.

1) Cody is referring to Thargoid's avatar

2) Thargoid came back from the outer darknesses (or the Witchspace Lobster's stomach, as appropriate) after a 7 year-long gap and was able to use his login. If we had followed your advice earlier we might have cancelled it! Might it not be better, O Supreme Sorter-out of Oolite Starters, to rely on our tried and tested Spam Assassins to nobble any accounts which become infested rather than to pre-empt them?

I did not notice that - it was nowhere visible in the quoted text - and the post itself was on the other page.

Well, I did not propose to remove those accounts. Rather deactivating them, meaning a user trying to logon would have to contact some admin to be let in again. Not all my ideas have to be implemented immediately, and yes it worked out positively this time. I'll have to wait some more to see if negative examples stay away also. ;-)

Contacting an admin can be tricky if you can't log-on.

...and we removed the team and did not show any alternative channel.
Yes this needs to be refined if we want to take that route

I don't think The Team included any direct contact details, and you can't view a profile unless you're logged-in.

Giles has suggested meeting at the "The Angel" in St Giles High Street, London (close to Tottenham Court Road tube station). On either Sunday 7th or Sunday 14th July.

It was where he initially met up with NoSleep et al to discuss the music for Oolite.

If I try booking (tomorrow) for lunchtime on the 7th?

Or should I go for the evening?

I was playing Elite on a BBC emulator for the Mac, and doing the Constrictor mission. I googled "Reesdice mission", and got the Oolite BB.
Ditch the Beeb emulator, met Giles and NoSleep in a pub, and never looked back!

At the behest of Aegidian, I've booked some sort of room at "The Angel" St Giles High Street, London

SE of Tottenham Court Road Tube Station (Northern & Central lines).

1pm on Sunday 7th July (ask for "Cholly").

He hopes to be in attendance!

And just round the corner from Forbidden Planet.

What could possibly happen to the wallet content...
