oolite-mesh-converters and Python 3

Post by hiran »

I ran some experiment:
Download an existing Blender model, then convert it into some Oolite model.
Without any experience in 3D modeling I stumbled over NASA's ISS model at https://nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/detail/iss
then exported it to .obj and ran the oolite-mesh-converter to obtain a .dat file.

During that process I had to fix the mesh converter's python script to run on python 3. Just when I was about to run a pull request I noticed there was a branch with exactly that name in place: https://github.com/OoliteProject/oolite ... ee/python3

Could someone with more experience than me have a look at the feasibility of that branch? It likely should get merged.
