so what's going on - got the cloaking device, thought i'd test it out. jumped into an anarchy and by chance there's a cluster of about 10 pirates, target me in a few seconds and come in. i activate the cloak, and there's no difference whatsoever. message says it's on but there's no energy drain, no one stops firing at me and i'm dead in about 20 seconds.

right, i get that it auto-decloaks if you fire, but i'm still getting a ton of incoming fire when i'm manoeuvering about when cloaked, makes me wonder what the point it. the only benefit so far is it seems to be an instakill for incoming missiles.

If you're jumping into trouble, activate the cloak as the countdown hits 1 - once they've locked-on it's too late.
