Who owns Oolite Releases Google Drive, please?

Greetings, Commanders <o
http://oolite.org/download/, at the bottom of the page, refers to Oolite Releases Google Drive, which, in turn, requires me to request access, which I have done, and am awaiting an email response approving (or denying) my request.
Since, my request, apparently, did not seem to elicit any kind of response, one way or another, and since I do not know whether it is actually reaching the appropriate authorities, or not, I would like to ask here for the contact details of the person(s) who own(s) Oolite Releases Google Drive, please, with the intention of attempting to contact them more directly, and requesting access personally.
...or perhaps I'm just impatient. The thing is: I don't know how long it should take for such a seemingly simple request to be processed. I just don't know. ...and I am rather excited to gain access to such a potential treasure trove of information.
So... Any and all assistance in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Sincerely and faithfully
user <o

I'm not sure who has ownership of the Google drive, and this solution probably isn't ideal either, but it will suffice for the moment.
You can find all previous releases* in this folder on my Box.com account:
Oolite Previous Versions
* I only included up to version 1.76.1, because versions from 1.77.1 and following are available on the GitHub site.
Also, I didn't include 1.62-alpha, because Google refused to let me download it (complaining of it containing a virus).
Finally, some of the releases were greater than the 250MB limit for uploads on my account, so I have split those versions up using a suffix like "001", "002" etc. If you extract each of these to a single folder, you should end up with the same content as on the Google drive version.
Hope this helps a bit.

Crikey! What's the limit for our Wiki, Murgh?

I can probably get all the files under 200mb. I’ll try uploading them to the wiki over the weekend sometime.

I don't know about viruses, but 1.65 certainly had a few bugs, one of which drove me to join the forum.

I believe Sir Winston set it to 2GB.
But there is the issue of acceptable suffixes..

Here is a link to download Oolite 1.62:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JuIfl8 ... sp=sharing
Edit: Got a mail from Google about the file possibly containing a virus. The file is currently restricted but I have requested a review and hopefully the restrictions will be lifted soon. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Yeah... so, other than some image formats, the only option would be to rename all the ZIP's to have an OXZ extension to enable them to be uploaded. That would mean that anyone who downloads them would need to rename them to ZIP in order to use them. Obviously we could include those instructions on whatever wiki page we build to host the links, but is that an acceptable solution?

Yet the
Llama is available from the Wiki as a
.zip
- or have I got that wrong/it's been changed?

It isn't optimal. Looking at what needs to be done to add zip to the list of permitted formats, it's configuring at a level above mine.
We could put in a request with Admiral Winston. Are there any special concerns with allowing zipfiles, does it increase the risk of hacking and virus or doesn't it change things much?

Maybe sneaked in there before restrictions were tightened? I see quite a few zip files in the media directory but none uploaded later than October 2009.

<nods> Things change - there was a time when custom forum avatars were banned, supposedly 'cos of viruses embedded in images.

Thank you, Commanders!
It is truly inspiring to see all the effort being put into my little request (which has now turned out to be a somewhat bigger issue, it seems).
Please be assured that I truly appreciate all your work in this regard.
Here's hoping that the powers-that-be will smile on this endeavour of ours to preserve our historical heritage and cultural identity as the Xlite comOonity.
Sincerely, and faithfully

Great news. The big man just mailed me saying he has just implemented the allowing for .zip uploads to the wiki!
He added the caveat that he hopes it works on the first try because he will be away for a little while.
I haven't tested yet, but I'm optimistic.

Postpone the celebrations, it didn't work on the first try. But knowing Winston is on it, I feel good about it working when he's had time after his vacation.
