Any recommendations for a better web-browser?

The firefox browser nags me until I'm nuts about updating - and then insists on updating anyway whether I like it or not.

I have no desire or patience to learn the quirks of their new twiddles - and I'm too old to bother. Their last update lost me some features I quite liked, and I don't see why I should be forced to learn how to restore them by a bunch of pig-headed know-it-all fascists.

Is there another Mac-friendly browser that anybody can recommend?

Firefox lost me some time ago. I've used Waterfox Classic ever since - much better!

Safari works fine for me, with the Wipr adblocker (£1.99 from the App Store). For the occasional page that insists you turn off the adblocker, and which you really want to see, just click and hold on the "Reload page" arrow and select "Reload without content blockers" (It's also a good way to remind yourself just how much you're getting for £1.99).

Now google drive is hassling me about using an unsupported browser. [expletive deleted]
Their damn tentacles are tightening. I'll find myself locked out of Box one day!

This is becoming very annoying - yet another site telling me my browser (now on Pale Moon) is unsupported!
It's almost like a conspiracy - unless you're using one of the big 3/4 browsers, they cause you grief!
