However I feel one aspect of it should be considered...

Owning more than one ship. I think you should be able to park a ship at a port, get in another one, come back and swap.

When purchasing you should have the option of part exchance or outright buy. Then you could keep ships in various ports (maybe for a holding fee), each with own equipment. Handy if you like alternating between trading and hunting.

It has always been a bit of a gripe with any game where you can amass a fortune yet only have the one ship. In fact there isn't one I can think of where you can do this...

I agree with that. I'd like to be able to buy, or rent, space in a space station, or shipyard, to store all your ships.

Loving this game, by the way, a real trip down memory lane!

Vega Strike, the latter games in the X series, and Hardwar all permit you to have multiple ships in storage.

isnt that a pretty old game with very colourfull ships.
It was a bit extensive IIRC.
I surrendered before I got to own multiple ships.
didn't know it could be done.

edit: cometothinkofit I really liked the paintjobs on those ships. nice demos and art.

edit: I now recall that was I-war, not hArdwar.
