Most-Flown Ships

Nothing will ever beat the Cobra Mk. III in popularity or utility. There are, however, many other great ships out there, and each fits a different preference or playstyle.
So, other than the Cobra III, what ship do you fly the most? Why do you enjoy it?

The Wolf Mk II is a great ship: a terrific refinement of the Cobra III all-rounder model that skirts the edges of überness without quite stepping over the line (although, if I'm honest, the 20t cargo capacity is probably a little bit generous: 10t would be fairer).
For white-knuckle fun and excitement, though, an Adder is hard to beat. It's small, and hard to hit, which is just as well given the alarming way the energy banks dip when you trigger the ECM …

What Big D said - the humble Adder (with a couple of sensible tweaks) is a fine ship!

Agreed - the Adder's one of my favorites as well. There's something to be said for its simplicity and maneuverability: it really forces you to think about what you need. And how thin a line separates you from death.

This! In an Adder, the hooded guy with the scythe is always right behind you!

I'd argue that It's more like having death as your co-pilot
Joking aside the adder is a great little ship because you're largely terrified of everything.
IMHO ships are made more enjoyable by what they can't do rather than what they can.
I've found the Python to be a good jack of all trades ship especially when making that jump to first big ship.
The Boa Class Cruiser is great, for the same reasons that I like my current Python ET (they're good but too good really)
I'm currently saving for a Dark Rainbow, but have the feeling that it will ruin oolite as it is just way too good at everything.
There is no harm in a ship being really good or even the best st something but it has to have a flaw or weakness in another areas to balance the scales otherwise there is no sense of achievement in anything that you do (hence why the adder figures as most peoples fun ship).

Endorse that. The Adder is agile and a capable trader with the cargo-bay extension (sensible tweak no. 1
) With that, it has the capacity of a basic Cobby (20 TC), and if you sell your Cobra III at Lave and buy the Addy, you have something like 50,000 creds to play with in tricking it out to the military max...
Oh, I'm loving my time in the Adder!
