Oolite Bulletins

Oolite - excellent game, you are all doing a fantastic job!

Just a couple of suggestions/requests from my wishlist:

Messages - could these be moved/scaled down - where they pop up between the HUD and the targeting reticule makes viewing much more difficult, especially when its buggy (on my PC version I often get the messages frozen slap in the centre)?

A fix (read cheat) that reverses the controls in aft/port/starboard views to match the set-up in forward view? I know its not strictly "Elite" but I for one have never got my head or hand around it.

Have equipment that is separate from the ship - ie the cost of a new ship is "x", and all upgrades previously purchased are "transferred" to it, or at the very least mission rewards that are transferable (now loathe to experiment with ships due to losing equipment).

A 3rd F5 screen that lists the Commanders awards and citations (or added to the F5 screens that exist).

Delete option for saved games.

A table someplace (on website) that lists the differences between the ports to other platforms, I'd like to see what I'm missing in teh PC version and justify a Mac to myself

I agree with all of these. Reversing the rear view could be impliemented in the game by buying some sort of special equipment.
Having mission rewards should definately be transferable.
And lastly, listing your Commanders awards........everyone like to remind themselves of how well they are doing

Cool - glad some people agree, and it's not just me.

Definitely want to be able to see all the goodies - bronze and silver citations, etc. Do we get a red battle cloak in Ooolite and the Archangel ranking? THat would display well lol.

Messages - I haven't been able to reproduce any frozen message bug as yet. I appreciate the problem, but the messages are meant to be placed where they will be noticed.

Reversed controls. No. (Which, as everyone should know, means - you can try to convince me, but I'm not likely to budge easily).

Equipment. Rewards from missions are by-and-large transferable between ships. The cloaking device is (as of v1.65) and the NEU becomes available to buy after you've won one.

Commander awards and citations. None are implemented as yet (outside of OXPs). So as yet, there's no need for an extra screen.

Saved game delete? - just delete the file!

Version info - good idea, I should revise the website to include that with v1.65 release.

Will try to link a screenshot of message bug (if it is one) to demonstrate. Maybe a sideways scrolling one at the top of the screen? I can cope with where they are, just a suggestion as stated.

Would rewards from oxps interface with staright game? I don't distinguish between them though I guess I should.
