Got myself the 3D pro extreme from logitech and at first was disappointed cause it only interacts as a plug and play joystick for macs, but Oolite actually recognizes the stick and and allows for programing.
Very happy camper and a decent stick for the price. I recommend for those mac users on a bit of a budget.

I was hardly disappointed with this device.
Seems pretty compared with Thrustmaster, but it had badly shifted nullzone of roll axis and noisy thrust axis. Force on stick was unbalanced - too light for counter-clockwise and too hard for clockwise.
Returning to Thrustmaster and happy with it
I'm Mac user too.

Get a good one, and it's a great 'stick for its price. Get a bad one, and you have to send it straight back for replacement - which is what I had to do.
Windows user now on my second (or third, if you like) Extreme 3D Pro.

I am messing around with the configuration... Care to share your configuration?

In case you're not aware of it, I'll point you to Dizzy's excellent how-to guide on
setting-up joystick axis profiles - splines are good.
