If anyone's at a loose end in London on Tuesday at around 1 PM there will be a parade and 100-aircraft flypast for the 100th anniversary of the RAF. See

I will have to find a good vantage point for this - I didn't see as much as I would have liked for the Queen's birthday last month, too many tall trees near my house now, though I did get this:

I believe some will be forming-up over my town - if so, I'll (hopefully) get to see them.

My dad was in the RAF at the start of WWII, as was an uncle (who served in Burma).

Managed to drag myself to Waterloo and onto the South Bank of the Thames for the fly-past. A bit colder than I expected, and fairly cloudy, but I got some reasonable pictures - 178 of them, plus a lot of duds and duplicates I deleted!

They're all on line here

I need to go through and identify the aircraft types etc., and I'm not the world's best at aircraft ID. Any and all help will be appreciated, just add to the comments on the photos if you know them.

I reckon the first fixed-wing (#18-22) is a Dakota III.

Yes, that was one of the few I could identify straight away - it's the only one in D-Day livery, and fairly distinctive. Someone has added ID for a lot of them as comments, so hopefully I'll get this sorted reasonably quickly.
