Oolite Bulletins

It seems the wanted posters idea struck a few here and hit home for me, so I did up a first draft pic for you all to view and give me feed back. I want to here your ideas on info, listed crimes, BG color, Font Colors, Holo-Screen color, anything that comes to mind.

You probably need some basic way to see how they look in-game - suggestions, anyone?

The name and race was taken from the wanted list in game, I have a collection of sci-fi character pics to pull from, quite a few aliens as well.
Collecting concept art right now for mentioned races in game, such as rats, insects, felines, and more.
If I can't find a pic I can always draw one up. Especially if a user would like a pic of their in game character.
Though personal character art I tend to get some kind of payment for, trade, cash, what ever we can agree on.

I like the color of the screens to the script and the red WANTED.

3 human males, 1 female, 2 insectoid males, 1 frog male, 1 rat male, 1 feline male, and 1 canine male.

Just need to know race, gender, and name. If you have a pic you would like me to use send a link to it. If not I will find one.

Beautiful posters, but maybe a bit too "busy" for this use. I've modified Stations Ads to accept external ads and built a quick OXP around your six examples to test drive a bit and here's an example how it plays out:



The portrait of the villain in the middle looks awesome, but the texts don't not work as intended. There should probably be less text, font size should probably be bigger and maybe there should be more contrast in colors. And that *WANTED* should scream out. Anyway, glad to have you aboard, you've got some real talent there.

@another_commander or some other friendly admin: Could you please move this whole thread to the Expansions, we're deep in OXP territory now.

I have also modified MarketObserver to work with external ads. Here's a snippet from the market screen with one of the Wanted Posters:



Again the villain is just awesome, but the texts don't work that well here either.

To actually do something, MarketObserver and/or StationAds must be installed and both need to be updated to the latest version. Note that this test oxz only has six Wanted Poster included, so they are quite a rare sight, since the aforementioned OXPs have something like 400 ads in circulation. With MarketObserver just keep hitting F8 and they will show up eventually .
