Found an interesting bug- every time I (or an A.I. controlled ship) begins docking at a Torus Station- you blow up!

Going in manual or via docking computer- you never get near the docking bay and... KABOOM!

Specifically, this is ocurring in Galaxy 1, planet Xexedi (tech level 14)- I've played the scenario out multiple times with the same result.

Yup, Xexedi is my favourite planet as well for upgrades and upkeep for my ship and I've noticed the blowing up as well.

But I use the Torus station and I'm wondering if the original station is still there, somehow hard-coded, and that's what I crash with...

But I've endured similar crashes in other systems as well. Especially annoying when you have made a killing in the pirate fields and then crash and burn for no reason at all...

Hhhmmmm... I did'nt travel to any other high-tech systems to see if the problem continued elsewhere in 1.65 b1, but I did un-install the game, and re-installed the previous version (with the game-saves from 1.65) to see if the problem was inherent to that particular station and followed-through between versions.

*my god, my college english teacher would box my ears over that run-on!*

The problem, did not carry-through.

Oh, BTW- you're right about those pirate fields- like taking candy from a baby!

Have you noticed the "fugitive Supercobra" that always shows up when you get close to a station- any station - prior to docking that NEVER fights back?! Easy money.

Never seen that one, but there used to be an asp offender at the witchspace exit point that never fought back but screamed for help all the time. It's been a while since I saw it too.

Mm. Suspect collision detection routine. This will probably also fail in beta 2.

I'll look into it, next week.
