I have a contract to deliver cargo to tezabi in galaxy 5, but unfortunately it appears to be underneath the planet divees, and even when I do find planet on the galaxy map, it switched to divees as a target.

Any suggestions?

This is supposed to be fixed in the new testing version. Click slightly above a pair of overlapping planets to get one, click slightly below to get the other, and presumably you should be able to jump to the one you’ve selected.

Exactly how close to each other are those systems? Should it be made possible to fly between them with conventional means (no hyperspace jumping) as well?

No. but a jump doesn't cost you any fuel, so that's nice.
