New development release - 1.65-dev4

Post by winston »

New development release is up, to coincide with the Mac OS X and Windows releases. Please see Giles's announcement for '1.65 beta 1' in Testing and Bug Reports for the full changelist.

It's available at all the usual places:

http://oolite-linux.berlios.de
ftp://ftp.alioth.net/oolite
rsync://rsync.alioth.net/oolite/dev/Linux-x86

So get it while it's hot!

If you notice any difference in frame rate, please report it - a major change is an improvement to the collision detection algorithm which will save CPU cycles.

Is there a tag for this in subversion?

hmm, I was expecting 1.65(something)4, this seems rather inconsistent, IMHO, but anyway, thanks

Sorry for the confusion, it's just there's been some test builds for Linux (only) already. Some of the confusion comes from the svn repo being called 'oolite-linux', when it's really 'oolite-everything' (this is historic - it used to be that the main svn repo for Oolite was the Macintosh version on Giles's personal server at home, and oolite-linux was essentially a code fork. Then the Grand Unified Source Tree for Oolite was made, and it all merged - and Giles wanted to use the berlios svn repo rather than the one under his stairs attached to his home ADSL).

See http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/GUSTO for more info.
