wishlist: should be able to buy a specified amount

Post by eddyp »

Hello,

In the version I used to play on Z80, there was the possibility to buy an arbitrary amount of goods. In Oolite it seems that the maximum possible amount is bought.

This would be useful if one plans to go for a mining session, but would have some space for a guaranteed winning from trading.

Note: I never tried expansion packs.

If I understand you correctly, you are using the enter key to purchase goods? Have you tried the arrow keys instead? They allow you to buy 1 tonne at a time... :?

Or sell one tonne at a time. So you can [enter] to fill the hold, and [left arrow] to remove a few items.

Could we have auto-repeat on the arrow keys for the market place?

That way, if you do want, say 23t of something that doesn't fill your hold and is significantly less than the total in the market, you can just hold the key down.
You came in that? You're braver than I thought!
