Weirdness with 'quotes' in BB posts

When I'm 'quoting' a previous post the member's name (so and so wrote...) is not appearing. Instead the text box is showing an ID etc as well as the name, and even manually going to the correct format

I don't mind it being moved, but I deliberately opted to post in 'Discussion' as this is not an off-topic matter - it concerns posting here on the BB. The discussions held here are an integral part of being a player in my opinion.
Also, I think BB issues are likely to picked up sooner from 'Discussion' as it is much more widely read.

Smivs you are probably right, I just logged in in a rush, saw the topic being reported by someone as not belonging to Discussion and moved it right away without thinking too much about it. There is of course the point of view that Discussion refers to discussion about the game itself, so I guess both places could be fitting. It's just that in the past we've had topics about the forum itself moved to Outworld, so I just went with the flow here.

As for Discussion being read more than Outworld, I wouldn't bet on that these days...

This is not an easy fix unfortunately. I had been relying on the ISP's automatic update system for the boarad, but it seems to have failed to update the database. I'll have to see what can be done.

When I reported it I thought Discussion should be about the game, but then remembered that the Wiki threads are here as well. Oh well.

By the way, is this something mere mortals can do? I was considering to do that in order to fork a part of a thread that was going very off-topic. I guess I can change the title in order to create a new thread for this, but I see no obvious way to move it to Outworld as well?

No, I think forking and moving threads requires modlike powers.

Disembodied is correct. If you still want to move that post, click on the exclamation mark of said post at bottom right and write a short report about what you would like to do with it. Then a moderator can take action as required.
