especially since I now see that I've got both version 1.2 and 2.4 of "System Features : Rings" installed. I thought the Add-on Manager would deal with things like that.
Now looking for the "System Features: Rings" thread.

There's a more recent thread here https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18921, where the recent manager addition was announced. Anyway, that's where I posted.

Thargoid milk? Made from the finest of minced hive minds with a soup, con of re-injected fear glands.
That should put hair on their chests. Or, for those of different anatOomies, chests under their hair.

Ahh, looks like a second problem. Somehow, in all the mucking around with the Chronicle delivery, I've managed to not complete a "diplomatic parcel" delivery to the same system. Which is one thing. But the countdown timer to "do this delivery by ..." also appears to have frozen at 10 days 14 hours.
Since I've got about 40,000€ of parcels and dehydrated passengers in the hold (a rescued slave too), I'll do those deliveries and see what happens when I go back to make the delivery.

I'll check it out and let you know. Thanks!

Edit: Ah, can you give me a bit more information? Can you quote the exact text you have on your manifest screen? I just did a text search through the UPS code and I can't find "diplomatic" anywhere.

Sorry, but the message has disappeared now, and I don't have a save game from then. Though IIRC, the purple cross still hangs over the relevant star system. [Fires up] Yes, the purple cross is still there. Here (https://app.box.com/s/7z3h018anojwi6xgi8y46emmbh317k1n) is the game as it stands, purple cross on Tezaeded, but no mission to it.
Also getting weird ring effects which aren't necessarily unpleasant, just unphysical. https://app.box.com/s/50ndbpswqc5mi492lnliu6a7sra8ghak

I've just uploaded version 2.0.7 of UPS Courier, which includes a chart marker cleanup function that should hopefully clean out any markers for old missions that might still be hanging around.

I'll give it a try tonight.

I think I've found a new bug.
[Checks I'm on current version - 2.0.7 - also check all other OXPs are up to date. Everything in order.
So, I'm on a "secret documents" mission, arrived at the target's main station and been informed that the documents need to go to the solar station. Saved game, reloaded today. Fly off to the solar station ... it's a Coriolis, unlike the normal ZGFs. No response to a Shift-L docking request, or to docking computers, so do a gentle approach. No rotation, so creep up really slowly and !Boom! Flying backwards with a page and a half of damages, 3/4 of my cargo destroyed, and a struggle to regain control.
Latest.LOG available. Strings like "21:45:46.633 [ai.invalid.notAStation]: Attempt to use station AI method "decreaseAlertLevel" on non-station <ShipEntity 0x16316120>{"Sun Research Station Alpha" position: (-428820, 171906, 371204) scanClass: CLASS_STATION status: STATUS_IN_FLIGHT}." seem to be part of the problem, along with "21:43:44.254 [LogEvents]: Player targeted Sun Research Station Alpha 25660 who has 25000 energy
21:43:46.771 [script.javaScript.timeLimit]: ***** ERROR: Script "(nil)" ran for 2.47547 seconds and has been terminated."

Flying backwards...
A rather strange feeling, is that.
