Wiki just started giving "404 Not Found" pages .

Hmm... probably temporary, but the back-up Wiki is fine.

The wiki is back up, but it has some low file size upload limit. It does not allow me to upload a file of ~50 MB size.

Edit: 3.7 MB seems to be too much too...

Something is wrong with the Wiki at the moment. The pages are loading with the correct headers, but there is no content on any pages.

Edit: interestingly, the content is visible if you edit the pages, it's just not rendering it.

If I had to speculate then there was either a re-install or a version upgrade done and the config has been forgotten.

I'm not anywhere near a computer with access to the server at the moment, and probably will not be before Monday. Then I can check to see what is going on.

Update: Winston emailed me with information that he upgraded the server. This most likely introduced a known incompatibility with the wiki software version that we are using, still under investigation.

I will not be able to update the wiki software before Monday (not even sure it will happen on Monday), so for the time being please use the backup wiki.

Update 2: For a test, I updated the sandbox wiki on my site yesterday, this morning I updated the backup wiki (all caches are purged, so it is slower than usual until it has created new cached content). Note that I am only updating to MediaWiki 1.19.24, not the latest 1.27.0 yet. I am aware that 1.19.x is already not supported anymore, but the changes that came afterwards require more testing time than I have at the moment...

Please browse the backup at http://wiki.maikschulz.de and let me know if you see anything weird before I update the main wiki, thanks.

I'm my preliminary tests I can report everything looks fine. Fingers crossed!

I started upgrading the main wiki, not going entirely smoothly so far, so if you see blank pages or errors that's why. Working on it...

Update: The main wiki is up and running again. If you made any edits in the past days please check if they survived, I had to restore from my backup server to the main wiki to get it running again, so there might be an edit or two that got lost. Upside: The backup/restore is now fully tested and seems to work
