Trading limitations

I finally had to get a new laptop - battery on the old one has died, and the damned thing just hasn't got the grunt to run some seismic analysis tools I'm trying to learn - and this one seems to have appropriate graphics acceleration to do justice to the current versions without overheating and locking up every 20 minutes.
Ao, been cruising around, and forked my current game in Galaxy-2 after splatting that bloody Constrictor. As you do. One fork carried on with the Cobra-Mk3 and the other I went on to load up an Anaconda to see what the pure trading play is like. When they say that it flies like a rogue asteroid, they're not wrong.

But I did notice one thing that I vaguely remember noticing when I first tried v1.82 - I couldn't dump all my Liquor&Wines if I came across a Rock Hermit in a nice, high-priced system. I never noted the actual limit on what I was able to sell - 8 or 15 TC - but I tried a couple of things like launching, taking a spin around the asteroid swarm to get a few minerals, then re-docking, but I still couldn't shift more of my goodies at their nice high prices. Most irritating.

Trying to follow up a separate issues, I came across the long "Discussion" thread from 2010 about fuel prices etc, where the peculiarities of the Anaconda were under ... character assassination. There it was mentioned that there was a limit on sales at most stations of 128 (or 127?) TC. But I can't find a description of this limit in the Wiki. And I have a distinct suspicion the the behaviour has appeared (at least at RHs) since a pre-"shaders" version that was my re-introduction to the faithful old Cobra.
I've hunted through the various *.plist and other configuration files in my installation to see if I can find somewhere that these limits are specified (I'm not challenging the limits themselves - seems a not-unreasonable thing to do), but have had no success. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the intermediate size stations (e.g. "Trade Outpost" from some OXP I've forgotten) had intermediate limits that might affect my regular trading set up - a 32 TC limit at a station would affect the regular Cobra+CBE for an example.

So, questions - are these limits specified in a config file? Or are they in "core" code? And am I just being blind not seeing the limits in the Wiki sections on trading?

Markets at rock hermits changed in 1.82 - you need Ye Olde Hermit Markets if you want them as before. As an alternative, Spicy Hermits is rather good.
127 TC is the maximum amount of any one commodity that you can trade/sell at one go in the core game.

The limit is documented in the developer section under market_capacity, probably is not read often by players.

Alternatively you can search solutions in dark corners of stations.

Buried in "developers" ... well, I certainly haven't delved in there.
So, the Wiki needs the notes that
    • RHs (without the OXPs you mention) can only receive 15TC/ commodity; (2^4-1)
    • Coriolis can only accept 127 (2^7-1);
    • Torus (the do-nut big stations) can take ???????
    • Small stations ("Trade Outpost," "Octahedron Ally" etc can take ???????
You'll note that I use different lengths of "??" implying different limitations. Which doesn't seem wildly unreasonable. (As I said, I read the 2010 "fix the Anaconda thread - points on several sides/)

I shall delve into the developer materials. But ... is there a config like "stations.plist" where these properties are defined/ overridden/ modified? Is there guidance/ discussion on the size of station versus it's market floor size? (per commodity)
