1.82 game-play documents?

I've just jumped into v1.82 after a long break, having last played 1.80. I haven't found yet any documents describing how to make use of the changes in the game: how do you zoom in/out the unified short/long scanners, how to do use the filters in the market screen, exact meaning of the legal status indicators in the market screen, meaning of the system colors on the scanner etc., etc.?

The zoon in/out chart keys can be found in the Reference Sheet PDF. For the others, I am not sure there is any in-game documentation yet.

You mean on the chart, yes? If you have government type set (cycle with '?'):
Purple = anarchy
White = democracy
Red = communist
Green = multi-government
Brown = feudal
Yellow = dictatorship
Blue = confederacy
Light blue = corporate state
I think that's got 'em all - or do I misunderstand? Wouldn't be the first time.

I miss the hippy-peace systems. I am not kidding!
You better never fire your weapons there!
Alcohol and narcotics are almost for free.

Yes, I meant the chart, thanks! I also stumbled around and found that "/" and "?" cycle the market filters on the docked F8 screen. Obviously the non-empty designations in the new "legal" column mean "illegal" but still would like to precisely decode them.

Xenon UI displays the default keyboard controls for each screen. Even if you only load it up once to see what's available, that might help. It also contains an overlay for the F6 screen explaining the different color codes.
With the "Legal" column, I find that a bit misleading myself. There has been some discussions about what the column should read, but I think in a standard base install (no OXP's), if the column reads "Imp" then it's illegal to export (read it as "It is legal to import this good, but not export"), and if it says "Exp" then it's illegal to import (read it as "It is legal to export this good, but not import.").
I find that confusing, particularly when I was working on
Smugglers, so if you install that OXP you'll find the column is relabelled to "Ban" and the codes become "Im" (meaning illegal to Import) and "Ex" (meaning illegal to Export).
Hopefully that all makes sense.

There are not hippie peaceful systems, there was some of those in the past but no more, because they didn't had any kind of armies, and so the planet was conquered by a communist or dictator regime. I thought that everybody knew that!
