Oolite Bulletins

It's been 10 years and 1 day since the last update for Illicit Unlock was released, so it seemed appropriate to do an update. Illicit Unlock give you the ability to purchase some of the non-player ships in the core game - the Gecko, Krait, Mamba, Sidewinder, Constrictor and GalCop Vipers. Most of these ships don't have a hyperdrive, however, so they'll be a challenge to fly around.

Available via the download manager, or via this link: IllicitUnlock.oxz.

Just a quick update for this to include Mamba Escorts, Shuttles, Transporters, Mining Transporters, Worms and Worm Miners in the mix, which I think covers all the ships in core. Version 2.2 available for download now.

I seldom change ship, but I like a lot to go to the dealer on each station to see what is available. It's entertaining and often beautiful. Some variety can only improve the experience.

If you wanna left behind Viper Interceptors in a core ship then yes, Constrictor is the fastest and best standard ship in combat.

If you just want the best speed in an ubership then try [wiki]WonderWorm[/wiki].

There is an even faster oxp ship in [wiki]RocketShips[/wiki]: the illicit unlocked escape pod, named to Uber Pod which really incredible: it slam into the planet in 5 seconds after undock if you not pull up instantly! Moreover reach the Sun using Torus in 3 seconds. It is a joke ship, but playable.

The Constrictor is a really cool ship to fly - worth every penny!

i'm very pleased with my boa 2 class cruiser, but i'm thinking of buying a new ship in the future. I'd prefer a core game ship.
If there is a better ship than boa 2 class cruiser , it may be "the constrictor".
I don't know if this is a question that should be answered but i'd like to know about its "classified characteristics" (cargo capacity, energy banks.....) and any hint of where to find it.

Unless Illicit Unlock changes stuff, I think the Constrictor can carry [classified] of cargo - not suitable for a trader.
It's compact and very fast - perfect for a courier!

i managed to get a "constrictor" but the price is not right, It's too cheap!!!!!!

What price did you get it for?

Aaand version 2.3 now available, comes free with even more realism!

The price is now right, although i think that it should be even more expensive. On the other hand, it is too hard to come by, it should be easier to find!!!
I'm putting "constrictor" to the test, this ship is really good.
There are some issues with some equipment that i'll tell at some other time!!!
