Oolite Bulletins

Hi all! I've just cleared out my OXP list having updated to v1.81, and I've managed to lose the OXP that identifies (via my HUD) the items on the Advanced Space Compass!

Anyone know off-hand which one this is, so I can get it back! Ta!

Hi Dave, welcome in the Oolite forum!

As you can see the list in [wiki]Advanced Space Compass[/wiki] page, items added to the compass directly by the specific OXPs of the items. If you are not see any then you probably not bought the Advanced Space Compass core equipment itself.

There is another item, the nice names of additional planets, which are added by [wiki]Planetary Compass OXP[/wiki].

If your problem is another than these then please specify which items do you think.

I have the ASC, which is happily showing the various beacons, extra stations, etc... However, until yesterday, I had something that also identified what I had selected on the ASC (eg nav beacon for main station, or nav beacon for an additional station). All I've done is remove some OXPs, and it appears one of them gave me the additional info! I haven't sold any in-built equipment...

It could be many things you're missing. With the current version, the standard hud should show you the beacon name. Are you using a custom hud?

using MilHUD 4000, although that one wasn't removed... - I've just dumped all my oxps back in the addons folder, and all is working again. Maybe when I have time I'll work it out!

That has beacon announcements included. Or it was Talkative Space Compass OXP.
