Whiling Away The Days

Ahhh..... exam review weeks. Nothing to do except fry your brain... you gotta love 'em. I appreciate the teachers giving us this long to review, but I only study the day before the exam. I find the information stays more fresh that way. Speaking of exams, I have a rather mild week next week, followed by a brutal one. Next week I have my Physics exam. The week after, it's: Biology, History, Applied Math, and English. But it's all good compared to my Grade 9 year- I had five exams in a row. All you gotta do is...
(Don't you just love this movie?)

One of my favourites.
Prove yourself whist you have the youth and strength to do so. These exams will not break you because you KNOW your subjects. Knock them down one at a time. Your going to do great.

Thanks for your support, ClymAngus.
Pretty hopeful that I'll get high eighties or early nineties, because I can't be perfect, eh?

This is like the final thing. After this you have options. School doesn't give people options it kind of hems them in, contains them. Putting you shoulder to shoulder with people you like and dislike (even the odd ones that are down right detrimental to your mental well being). From here on out you have the option to leave, any situation you are in.
There are costs to leaving, (there are always costs for everything we do in life) but you'll no longer be being kept in a box. The education system is measuring your worth (it the odd way it does, with numbers). Then autonomy. Congratulations.

Aye, go get those numbers, Huntress - then options start to open-up, as Clym says!

And as for that, it looks a bit uncertain as I really don't know what I'd like to do. I was thinking of maybe becoming a librarian, as I love books and libraries. Since I have high marks in all my subjects I could pretty much do any profession, but I haven't found my calling yet. As for high school, well, I'm not done yet, but here's what I think:

A librarian, eh - a friend of mine is a research librarian, and she loves her job.

And if you do truly understand the eecard, then you are well on your way to making a success of your life regardless of what you do. There are lots of people at your age that just don't quite get it and miss so many opportunities. Aim high and take a hammer - for all those glass ceilings

You forgot the umbrella- I wouldn't want to cut myself with all the glass pieces.
Well, I just finished my Physics exam, and I'm pretty sure I did good. Is it ridiculous that I think I did better on the exam than most of the tests? Don't know if that'll happen, but it feels like it.

Well, I have my mark for my Physics and it isn't bad, but it's a bit lower than I'd hoped for. I got 81%, which I can say is better than at least one test. Also, did my Biology today, too. One hundred and fifty questions, but don't worry- only thirty of them involved short answers. The other one hundred and twenty questions were all multiple choice.
Pretty happy with my mark, though. Got a 90%.
Biology is my favourite subject, and my favourite teacher teaches it. He put a bonus question on the exam (got to love it!). I'll tell you it:
What type of flowers do we all have? And no googling the answer. Person to answer correctly gets a big green smiley face from me. Limited time offer, runs out in two hours or until someone gets the joke.

Thank you ... although I should point out that not everybody has them - at least,
not in my case.
