There was certainly some colourful language around last night when I was having trouble with the expansions manager.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Cody, can I get you to do a test without BGS and Library installed? I just want to see what Xenon Redux does on its own, or whether I've messed up the linkages to Library GUI.

Xenon Redux on its lonesome works fine! Add Library, and the issue returns.



You wanting this Xenon Redux stuff split-off to the Xenon UI thread?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I've put the request in now, so should probably happen soon.

In the meantime, I've just uploaded a new version of Xenon Redux UI. Can you give that a try with Library?

No luck, I'm afraid. Tried with my usual commander (and moved it on), and tried with a virgin Jameson too.


XR works fine using the old BGS/CCL combo - but that's no help. Leave it be, amigo!

Might be related or not, but I've noticed little bugs with Market Observer on trunk: some of the column headers are not displayed while in flight. Maybe some minor changes in 1.85 cause those problems?

I think this is by design. Market Observer uses a custom HUD to position the column headers, and it only switches to that HUD when docked.

The "view map" function in Random Hits doesn't display anything with Xenon UI (and Resource Pack F).

Ah. I keep forgetting I'm running with a slightly modified version of Random Hits, in which I've gone through and found all the "runScreen" functions that use the "backgroundSpecial" property, and added a "screenID" of "random_hits_map".

I'll get a new version of Xenon UI up shortly that will make it skip all the RH mission screens.

Of course, if you add the [EliteWiki] Bulletin Board System and the [EliteWiki] Contracts on BB OXP, then turn on the Random Hits conversion, you'll be able to use the Bulletin Boards map screens instead!

OK, a new version of Xenon UI (normal and Redux) has been published, which should fix the issue with Random Hits.

Thanks Cody. I'm just working with Svengali to make sure my fix is doing what it's supposed to, so should have an update out shortly.
