Oolite Bulletins

I haven't been playing Oolite for too long.
~200 kills, hardly covered a 1/4 of Galaxy 1.

I haven't installed any of the OXPs yet.
Are there any that are seen as 'essential' or most recommended to install?

Do you think I should install several and start again from the beginning (probably with better/different ships) or can I integrate them without feeling that I have missed out on anything?

There are a few threads like this one...can one be stickied?

Anyway, IMO:

Behemoth
oldships
illicit-unlock
x-ships
xships
aegidian-special

They should give you the most complete all-round Elite experience.

Next should be anything else that Aegidian or Murgh wrote, plus the longway mission.

EDIT: added aegidian special as a start option since Murgh reminded me about it!!!

also could easily go in from the start

mind you, Lave.oxp was made for beginners who hang out practicing docking at.. Lave. more of a novelty really.
otherwise, no OXPs require being there from the start.
