Oolite Bulletins

hello,
I just came across the trumbles. I think I remember how to kill them but just in case I made an "after_trumble_offer" save.
I would like to rename the previous save but after renaming it on disc it still comes up as the old save name in the game menu.
where else is the list of saved games kept ?

I think in the original elite it was much trickier to get fuel from stars and I do not remember there being the "," "." bow thrusters ?
It certainly makes docking etc easier.

Renaming the save filename will not change what appears in the list of save games if you do it from within the operating system. The savefile description you see on the F2 screen list is contained in the savefile itself and is whatever you used when you saved that game and does not necessarily correspond to the actual savegame's file name.

If you really want to change it you can do it either by loading the game you want to rename and re-saving under a different description, or alternatively you can do this: Open the savefile in a text editor (not Notepad) and find the player_save_name key. In the savefile I have in front of me it looks like this:Change what you see between <string> and </string> to whatever you want, then save the file. When you start Oolite again and look at the savegame list, you will see it renamed.

Correct, there was no yaw in the original Elite, but there is yaw in Oolite - sadly!

You don't have to use it, but it doesn't feel wholly unreasonable that ships should have it.

I haven't checked, is this enabled in strict Elite mode?

I don't use it, never have - and yes, it is in strict mode.
