Hullo, hallo, and hello.
I was wondering if it's at all possible to change the political nature of a star system via oxp, or are they hard-baked and crusty within the game engine? I had this idea for a dynamic political oxp, where every so often, there would be a major event in a star system (perhaps even announced via SnOopers) and the place suddenly has a new form of government. Some ideas for events include:
Peace Treaty Signed! (An anarchy system becomes multi-government)
Confederation collapses! (A confederacy system fractures to become multi-government)
Worker's Revolt! (A corporate system becomes communist)
Rebellion Wins! (A dictatorship becomes democracy)
Tyranny Imposed! (A feudal system becomes a dictatorship)
Etc, etc-- there's dozens of different scenarios that can be worked out relating to one form of government becoming another. It might also be interesting if economics are thrown in, random events causing the system to have an upswing or decline in their wealth level.
So is such an idea feasible with Oolite?

Set them once via planetinfo.plist, use the same keys in system.info in javascript to change them intermittently.
Edit: improved link.

I know nothing of programming but I will look around the file and see if I can figure out how it works. Thankee.
