F6 chart zoom/position persistence

On F6, with a cross-chart route set, I zoom-in to the level I prefer, then drag the chart to the sector I'm currently passing through.
Thing is, when I switch to anything else, then back, I have to re-drag the chart back to its position - can this be made to persist?
