Back for more punishment. Suggestion for controllers

Ok, I have been away from Oolite for awhile, but heading back into the galaxy soon. Since I am playing on my linux machine, I would like a couple of pointers for a decent controller. I have used the rumblepad 2 and it was nt too bad except for the fact that I always had issue with yaw control. I don't think I want to use a joystick just because of the room issue.

So any suggestions with a decent controller or should I just look at getting another Rumblepad 2 or F710 from Logitech?

Welcome back, kcallis.
You will certainly find some changes after being away for a couple of years! Mostly for the better, and those that weren't are being fixed.
Sorry, but I can't advise on controllers - I use a (rather ancient and creaky) joystick.

I use these:

Cheap and cheerful, work well enough for my purposes and don't have any horrible problems - they have motors for vibration but Ooolite doesn't support that.

Yes, I suppose I will have to go back to a Rumblepad 2... I would rather a joystick, but A.) I am not a fan of wires, and B.) considering that I will probably be sitting on the bed, I am sure that a JS would not be optimal...

*** While stumbling around Walmart, I came across a F310 so once I can remember how to get it configure, and once again another Jameson out the gate soon...

I've tried a lot, but in the end I found it best, to have on hand steady on the joystick, undisturbed for accurate aiming, while the other hand is on the keyboard for everything else. I also fire my laser using the keyboard. Never get used to having to hold a controller.
